IGAL is a table lamp born from DIY construction practices and elevated through refined materials. Its earliest form was humble: an embroidery hoop, sheer fabric, and a will to shape light with what was at hand. With its dark ring holding translucent fabric, the image of the Igal—the cord securing a keffiyeh—naturally emerged. The final version preserves this structural logic while being reimagined in durable aluminum, enhancing its formal clarity.
Designed as a flat-pack kit, IGAL assembles in under five minutes without tools. A custom connector joins three aluminum legs to the upper rings, topped by a soft textile diffuser. This intuitive system not only invites users into the making process but also allows for easy disassembly, repair, and reuse.
IGAL’s light is warm and sculptural, balancing solidity with airiness. At home in both domestic and hospitality settings, its poetic simplicity creates more than illumination—it offers atmosphere and reflection. Beyond function, IGAL reconnects users with the act of making and with objects that tell stories through form and process.
